Army Officer Helpless As Pregnant Wife Was Stabbed Before Him

A Texas lady in her ninth month of being pregnant was brutally stabbed in the face and tummy Wednesday -- all while her spouse , called to duty thousands of miles away abroad -- watched in awe frustratingly by means of the mobile phone , based on HLN affiliate KFOX.

Rachel Poole , 31 , was allegedly assaulted in her residential home when using FaceTime -- an Apple software that enables end users to videochat over the cell phone -- to speak with her hubby , Army Pvt . Justin Pele Poole , according to El Paso , Texas police . Police Det . Mike Baranyay said that the woman identified her assailant and constantly screamed his name to her spouse over the phone .

The victim was able to get in touch with 911 and was transported to University Healthcare Facility where she was last believed to be in serious state . Her newly born baby is stated in good order . The suspect , better-known as 19-year-old Corey Bernard Moss , was found by Fort Bliss Military Police and transferred over to El Paso police . In accordance with investigators , Moss informed them the target owed him lots of cash for automotive maintenance . Moss was charged with unlawful attempted capital murder and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility . His bond was set at $60 ,000 .
