Allie Carter was hunting with her pooch Trigger in northern Indiana throughout the weekend when she turned into the object of a worldwide punch line.
The 25-year-old laid her 12-gage shotgun on the ground. The security was off. Her 10-year-old chocolate lab did the rest.
"A canine ventured on the trigger, creating the firearm to go off and strike a female hunter in the foot," Indiana Conservation Officer Jonathon Boyd told CNN partner WBND.
Yes, a canine named Trigger shot her human, unintentionally to the extent we know. Trigger has had little to say in regards to the matter.
Powers said Carter was discharged from a neighborhood doctor's facility with minor foot wounds.
