A 16 Year Old Boy Died Aboard Delta Airlines Flight

A 16-year-old suffered a medical crisis on a Delta Airlines cross-country air travel , and passed away after the flight made an urgent situation landing in Spokane , Washington , authorities said Saturday .

Jim Uttke , deputy medical-related investigator for the Spokane Medical Examiner , said it seemed the youth died of genuine sources . An autopsy is going to be carried out Monday . His given name was not made public .

The youth was the child of a soldier from the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade of the 7th Infantry Division out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord at Fort Lewis , Washington , a U .S . military official said . The youth was flying with mom to link up with his dad who'd long gone ahead to a new base , the official said .
