Google Invents Talking Footwear

BOFFINS at Google have created a pair of talking shoes that can communicate with the person wearing them.

Each super-smart piece of footwear is fitted with gadgets that measure movement, direction, and balance.

They also come with speakers and relay information to whoever has them on.
For example if someone is sat down for a long period of time the talking trainers may say "this is boring".

And if you're being a lazy couch potato your fancy footwear can kick you into gear by giving you a timely message to get off your bum.

Using Bluetooth technology they connect to the internet and work with Google's mapping app.
However the shoes are not to go on sale - they are just to showcase how clever designers at the search engine giant have become.

Aman Govil, from the advertising arts team, said: "The talking shoe is an experiment in how you can use connected objects to tell stories on the web today.

"We're not getting into the shoe business. We are in the social network and advertising business."
